sundays are made for cooking


Last weekend started by getting on the telly. I follow the Northampton Saints #bleedgreen. Me and my Dad love going along to local home games, the day is generally filled with cider, pie eating and sometimes getting involved in the game. My boyfriend is a little more passionate than I am. I'm sure he gets very annoyed with me talking more than watching sometimes.
NEVER been to an away match BUT last Saturday went along to Welford Road to watch Saints attempt to hammer the Tigers. We lost (BOO!) but more importantly Father and I made our BT Sport debut, made my day.
Sunday, in my rather hungover state still managed to make an awesome dinner. I love cooking on a sunday. Sunday is the day of rest but for me that is Sunday Brunch in bed, running, papers and cooking. I daydream in the week of what to cook leisurely come Sunday. This week was no exception, Shepherd's pie curiosity of Jamie Oliver.

I was having a very lazy day but managed to pop the lamb in the slow cooker that morning. As it was getting dark I thought I'd better get going on making the damn thing. Maybe the third time that I have made this now and it gets easier each time. Give it a try, it will be SO worth it.

Getting the lamb prepared and cooked takes the longest (all day really) but worth it.
